    • Spotlight on Essays

Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144 is committed to ensuring that our students become effective and efficient writers. In meeting that goal, all students K-8th grade participate in quarterly District-Wide writing samples. Students are presented with writing tasks that encompass all genres of writing. Writing samples are then presented to District Administration for review. The Curriculum Department has received and read many outstanding essays and have chosen to “Spotlight” a few student essays from across the District that demonstrate competent writing skills. Congratulations to the first essays chosen! We look forward to sharing more essays in the future. Click link above to view students' essays.
